The Grid: a filter through which to glimpse an ideal rationalized world.
After the grid, inevitably inexorably, comes the cultivation of a whole host of bad habits like neatness and balance and colour coordination and then, POW! Halfway through your life you suddenly realize that you’ve lost “the eye”.
Your brain clicks into reductive mode; decisions become rote, mechanical.
Your instincts have been blunted; they don’t come from the gut anymore.
Your spontaneity lies buried somewhere under a mountain of technical crap.
Gains in accuracy and predictability are made at the expense of ambiguity and intuition and worse, much worse your empathy and ability to feel and laugh and love and cry have also eroded.
You’re a machine now, a cyborg.
It’s a kind of devil’s bargain for logic freaks, a way to replace insight and spontaneity with a series of yes/no clicks and all because long long ago, you made that stupid decision to divvy your world into little squares and rectangles instead of seeing it as a whole.

Manifesto to the "Unprofessional" Artist
- Artists step outside their door and read signs "professionally" made picturing a human form which seems brighter and bigger then real human form.
- They Turn on the T.V. and Radio to Hear "professionally" produced songs and videos. Young Raw and Rare talented souls feel they can't measure up.
- They feel their talents are worthless unless they are "professionally" plastered publicly.
- The thing they don't see is the strength they hold. Their Talents Go Unseen.
- Commercialism has bullied them into selling themselves short and buying products to become "professional".
- They even compose their work around "standards" so the majority of people can "understand it" and "accept it".
- Guerilla souls are punished for expressing themselves in an uncensored style with a beautifully blunt demeanor.
- MC's, Dancers, Artists, Musicians, Poetic Souls, Designers, Filmmakers, are punished for speaking the truth and doing it in a artistic manner.
- While People Praise fake art which sends a unrealistic message to the next generation of artists.
- They continue to do so and will continue to do so.
- UNLESS Someone breaks the mold.
- Says it's not OK and will do so again and again and again untill something changes.
- Papers of restriction and weapons of destruction can't erase imagination.
- We the artist, we have the potential to change everything and create a better day.
- We have the power to see a smarter and more peaceful way.
